TLDR: Depending on when a check was requested, cancellation procedures differ. Checks requested less than 24 hours ago can be cancelled by contacting Support and are usually not billable. For checks requested over 24 hours ago, cancellation can be done online via the 'Activities' and 'Cancel' options, but these cancellations will be billable.
Cancelling Checks
Depending on the status of an application, and when it was initiated, will determine how the check can be cancelled and if the check is billable.
Requested less than 24 hours ago
If the check was initiated less than 24 hours ago please contact our Support Team, who can assist in cancelling this on your behalf. In most instances, if the check is under 24 hours old, it will not be billable.
Requested more than 24 hours ago
If the check was initiated over 24 hours ago, this can be cancelled from your online account. Please select the check, and then the option for 'Activities' followed by 'Cancel.'
Please note that any checks cancelled after 24 hours of initiation will be billable.
